Happy New Year to everyone! I hope 2012 brings you new creativity and outstanding projects. Just before our Christmas Break we finished up our Concept Cars Linear Perspective Project where we used 2 point perspective and our creativity. The task at hand was to first create a basic two point car, which looks boxy at first:
Then students are instructed to round edges off to give the car a more aerodynamic shape:
Students then add color and a WOW factor, something that has never been seen before on a car, something which makes their car unique. Then students are required to give their vehicle a name, draw side view and back or front view. Lastly I require students to list several cool features of their concept vehicle see the samples below:
